silicone sponge

There are several benefits to using a silicone sponge to clean your counters and stovetops. It's not overly absorbent, it's a good water-seal, and it's safe to use with non-stick cookware. However, it is not very effective at soaking up water and is not recommended for cleaning counters and stovetops.

It's safe for non-stick cookware

Cleaning non-stick cookware with a silicone sponge is secure. This kind of sponge is odorless and dries quickly. Additionally safe for the dishwasher is the sponge. The sponge should be sanitized every week, though.

Different sizes and shapes of silicone sponges are available. Some have bristles that are longer on one side and shorter on the other. Some come with a side made especially for cleaning vegetables. Some brushes have softer, more flexible bristles on one side.

For non-stick cookware, using a sponge is safe, but you should avoid using abrasive sponges. Sponge abrasives can damage non-stick cookware's coating.

On your nonstick cookware, using metal utensils can scratch the finish. Use wooden utensils in its place. Due to their lack of sharpness, wooden utensils are less likely to scratch non-stick surfaces. However, the non-stick coating can be damaged by metal utensils with sharp edges.

To prevent metal utensils from touching the non-stick surface, use a pot rack or a silicone utensil set. Additionally, you must not stack your pans. The non-stick coating may not be completely sealed if you stack your pans.
